Tűz broke out on the sixth floor of a dormitory in Szeged, on Bal fasor, late Monday afternoon, as reported by the disaster management service on their website. The flames affected one room, which was extinguished by the professional firefighters from Szeged.
According to a statement from the University of Szeged, the incident occurred in the Madzsar József Dormitory. Fortunately, no one was injured, and all students in the dormitory are safe. The affected students will be accommodated in the nearby Herman Ottó, Móra Ferenc, and Károlyi Mihály Dormitories. Any changes regarding classes will be communicated to students in advance through the usual channels on the CooSpace platform. The university will start the restoration process immediately, as stated in the announcement.
